CONCEPT DESIGN

This basic housing unit is located on approximately 280m2 plot. The plot surrounded with a high wall allows the unit to have large glass surfaces overlooking the garden and terraces. The house is designed with a concrete base and central core, equipped with essential needs like electricity and plumbing for a kitchen and a bathroom. It can be extended by means of additional modules. The steel cantilevered pergolas over the concrete basic unit reduce unwanted heat gain of the interior spaces under the strong Mediterranean sun. The pergolas also define and create a traditional outdoor terrace space. The capacity to construct homes in this way is emerging as it is economical and easy to build. It also promotes a flexible way of living.
