KI-YAP CO-OP located in Turgutlu, Manisa with a 232.000 m2 plot area is going to contain 150 commercial / industrial units of different sizes for mid-scale companies. The geographical difficulties related to the sloped terrain as well as the limited budget of the client, define the main characteristics of the architectural design. Corresponding the 35m level difference of the plot in long direction in the proposed master plan, every block has their own level which comes from the natural level of the plot in that specific coordinate. Even though this decision results in some difficulties for the architectural and structural design of the complex, it keeps the excavation costs down and harmoniously integrates the buildings into the surroundings. The offices of the industrial units, planned on the ground levels, overlook the main distribution roads through an upscale glass window. With this approach, we aim to create a social ground level life which is not very typical for large scale industrial projects. The focus of the architectural design development is to understand an industrial building typology as well as to reevaluate and improve its design both functionally and esthetically. The main difference of the complex from other similar designs is the maximum integration of green areas into industrial building functions

The main difference of the complex among other similar designs is the maximum integration of industrial building functions to green areas.
